Glycol Closed Loop Corrosion Inhibitor Booster

Protect glycol-based closed loop heating and cooling systems with our nitrite/borate/azole inhibitor package formulated for commercial and industrial hydronic systems. This treatment is designed to help control corrosion in steel, iron, copper, and mixed-metal piping systems while supporting long-term glycol stability and reliable system operation.

Our glycol inhibitor package combines sodium nitrite corrosion protection with enhanced alkalinity reserve and yellow metal protection additives to help maintain balanced system conditions in glycol-containing closed loops. The formulation is designed to support systems operating with propylene glycol or ethylene glycol solutions commonly used in HVAC and process applications.

Sold in F-style 2.5 gal jugs for safety and ease of handling during transport and application.

Recommended Applications

  • Glycol closed loop systems
  • Chilled water loops
  • Heating hot water systems
  • Commercial HVAC systems
  • Light industrial process loops

Benefits

  • Helps protect steel and iron surfaces from corrosion
  • Enhanced buffering support for glycol-containing systems
  • Includes copper/yellow metal protection additives
  • Supports long-term glycol system stability
  • Compatible with propylene glycol and ethylene glycol systems
  • Designed for use with remote monitoring and testing programs

Typical Treatment Range

Maintain nitrite residuals according to your treatment program and system requirements. Typical operating ranges are commonly around 800–1,200 ppm nitrite.

Product Support

Not sure how much product your system needs? We can help determine:

  • Initial dosage requirements
  • Glycol concentration recommendations
  • Ongoing treatment levels
  • Testing recommendations
  • Sample interpretation and treatment adjustments

Important Notes

For closed loop industrial/commercial systems only. System volume estimates and water testing are recommended prior to treatment. Glycol concentration, nitrite residual, pH, and overall system condition should be monitored routinely as part of a complete treatment program. Not intended for potable water systems. Five gallons of this product will provide 500 ppm of nitrite per 1000 gallons of water.
